What We Do

What is Epoxy Flooring?

Epoxy flooring is a two-part resin system — a resin and a hardener — applied over mechanically prepared concrete. When they combine and cure, they form an exceptionally hard, seamless surface that bonds permanently to the slab and resists moisture, chemicals, oil and heavy impact.

The result is nothing like the peel-and-stick kits at the hardware store. Professional epoxy, applied over properly diamond-ground concrete, creates a floor that handles daily car traffic, forklifts, chemical spills and Wollongong’s coastal humidity without lifting, bubbling or discolouring.

We’ve been doing this for 20+ years across the Illawarra. Garages, warehouses, commercial kitchens, showrooms, factories — we know what product and prep each job needs, and we don’t cut corners on either.

Why preparation is everything

Cheap epoxy jobs fail because the concrete isn’t properly ground first. Without mechanical profiling, even the best epoxy will eventually delaminate. We use industrial diamond grinders on every single job — this is non-negotiable for us, and it’s included in our quote.

Finish Options

Epoxy Flooring Finishes

Three main system types — each suits different environments and budgets.

Flake / Chip System

Most Popular

Coloured vinyl flakes broadcast into the wet base coat before a clear topcoat seals everything in. Hides imperfections, adds depth and texture, and looks sharp in any garage or commercial space. Available in dozens of colour blends — from subtle neutrals to bold contrasts.

Ideal for

Residential garages, showrooms, gyms, retail

Solid Colour

Clean & Commercial

A flat, uniform colour with a semi-gloss finish. Clean, professional, and easy to keep looking sharp. Often used with contrasting line markings in workshops and warehouses. Straightforward to touch up if sections are ever damaged.

Ideal for

Workshops, warehouses, factories, commercial kitchens

Quartz / Sand Broadcast

Heavy Duty

Coloured quartz aggregate broadcast into the system gives the highest slip resistance and the toughest surface of any epoxy finish. Ideal for outdoor-adjacent areas, ramps, or anywhere that gets wet regularly. Slightly textured underfoot.

Ideal for

Pool surrounds, ramps, food processing, industrial floors

Why Epoxy

Benefits of Professional Epoxy Flooring

Impact Resistant

Handles vehicle weight, tools and heavy gear without chipping or peeling. Rated for forklift and pallet jack traffic.

Moisture Proof

Seamless, jointless surface — no gaps for water, oil or chemicals to get under. Critical in coastal Wollongong conditions.

Easy to Clean

Spills wipe up instantly. No grout lines, no porous gaps, no staining. Hoseable in commercial and industrial settings.

Industrial Grade

We use two-part commercial epoxy systems — not the single-part hardware store products that peel within a few years.

Anti-Slip as Standard

Grip aggregate added to every topcoat. Safe wet or dry — no extra charge, just how we do it.

10–20 Year Lifespan

Diamond-ground prep creates a permanent mechanical bond. Professionally installed epoxy doesn't peel — it lasts decades.

How It Works

Our Epoxy Flooring Process

Every job follows the same process — no shortcuts, no skipped steps.

01

On-site Assessment

Gary comes to your property, checks the slab for moisture, cracks, and any existing coatings. Discusses your finish options and gives you a fixed price on the spot.

02

Diamond Grinding

Industrial diamond grinders open the concrete surface to create a mechanical profile. This is the step most cheap operators skip — and it's why their floors peel. We never skip it.

03

Surface Prep & Repair

Cracks and holes are filled with epoxy mortar. Any contamination (oils, old adhesive) is treated. The floor is vacuumed clean before any coating goes down.

04

Primer Coat

A penetrating epoxy primer bonds with the ground concrete and provides the foundation the subsequent coats key into. Essential for adhesion in coastal and high-humidity environments.

05

Base Coat & Finish

Coloured base coat applied, flakes or quartz broadcast (if selected), then a high-build clear topcoat seals everything in. Anti-slip aggregate goes in at this stage.

Which Is Right For You?

Epoxy vs Polished Concrete

Both are excellent — the right choice depends on your space, budget and what you’re using the floor for.

Choose Epoxy When…

  • You need maximum chemical and moisture resistance
  • It's a garage, workshop or industrial space
  • You want a specific colour or broadcast flake finish
  • The concrete is in poor condition (cracks, pitting)
  • Budget is the main priority — epoxy is typically cheaper

Choose Polished Concrete When…

  • Aesthetics are a priority — living areas, showrooms, offices
  • You want a natural, architectural look
  • You don't want any coating — just the slab refined
  • You have a good-quality existing slab
  • Long-term: polished concrete outlasts any coating
